On Monday the latest and greatest version of MQWCL has been released, this time with a linux client again (x11 version coming a bit later) and with the long\ -awaited source code.

Here is the list of changes and here is the more detailed readme for MQWCL 0.96. The complete documentation hasn't been updated yet, but this will hopefully happen over the next weeks.

iBh|123 @ 10.01.02, 15:41 (CET) - workaround for sb_rootinit error in win2k
since version 0.93 mqwcl required admin rights to be run in win2k and because this is a problem for many people, there is a workaround now: by using the command-line switch -nosockraw you will be able to run mqwcl without admin rights, however server pinging will be disabled. a fix for this problem will be provided in a future release.

santa aka azazello just stopped by and gave us a hard christmas present in shape of a new mqwcl build. 0.94c (or build 1099 if you prefer) mainly contains some bugfixes but also these two new commands;

- f_system (query for system information)
- f_cmdline (answer with command line parameters)

a great new version has arrived. actually, it's still 0.94 but this build features some very nice updates, among them;

- voodoo problem fixed
- mouse wheel support back
- drawing problems fixed (rankings on notifytext etc)
- mvd support! (yay!)

salan @ 16.09.01, 22:50 (CET) - bad draw_fill bug
as some of you may have noticed, 0.94 suffers a bug which results in a "bad draw_fill" message when using a lower res than 400x300. there are two ways to fix this (afaik); either you higher your qw resolution or change hud_sbar_size to 1, 2 or 4 (not 3 - which is default). the programmer - azazello - will be out of town for 6 weeks so he cant fix this atm. hope this wont cause you too much trouble.

update: just use 'hud_sbar_drawoverlay "0"' and you should get rid of the errormsg.

note: 0.94 is for windows only. the linux version is not yet avalible.
