Welcome to the Swedish Mireille Mathieu site on the Internet. I have written some parts in English for all of you who don't speak Swedish. I will tell you the true story of a great singer never really appreciated by the French themselves, at least not by all of them and certainly not to the level she deserves. Yet, she once said in an interview that "France possesses a fragrance that no other country has got", not to get credit - she is not that kind of person - but simply to express a sincere love for her country. I hope you will enjoy these lines both if you already are a fan or if you just happened to pass by. Mireille - or Mimi as we call her - is a star shining from above. She is constantly shining brightly whether it's in a distant country in South America or up here in Scandinavia. Sometimes she climbs down from her cloud way up high to sing for us. It doesn't mattter what audience she has, she always knows how to please them all and is ready to sing in english and in french as well as in italian or in spanish... She is a real professional and works very hard to remain one. Her voice is made of love that she more than willingly shares. And therefore we love her back....
