"Dreams"

Chimney-piece made of Finnish Birch.
I set myself the task of creating a story about the sea and love basing myself on a painting by Gustav Klimt, "Danae". On the left hand side the mermaid Auricélia watches the ship with her platonic love in the horizon, while under the water a sea horse plays around symbolising the power of will when it is set in freedom. On the right hand side Auricélia sleeps and the shower of gold above her is used as a symbol for the fertility of her dreams. Below her, again under the water, a big fish swims downwards symbolising the soul imprisoned by matter.
