Here follows a short presentation of my person for this one who is interesting in
employ or engage me.
My name is Mikko Heikkinen, M Sc , living in Luleå, Sweden. Co-operation and progress between folks
in Barents region are my very interests. At present I am busy in Barents History Project. This project will point out
the history of our own - jointing folks in Barents Region. My way of approaching the history is a postcolonial view of sight.
Northen folks have been exploited by European state powers since the 1400th century, as I see it.
I offer You help with connections and negotiations in Barents Region. By my experience from the region
I know how to succeed in Russian business and relations as well.
My background:
I am a veteran teacher who has worked as undertaking consultant in Russia
and in international projects.
As undergraduate education I got my Master´s degree with the University of
Umeå 1970 (appendix 1) and school of education (appendix 2). As post-graduate I
have studied various subjects, mostly within the fields of school and
international relations (appendicis 3-16, 35 and 37-42).
I have worked in the Swedish
school system for 27 years in various positions, mostly as a secondary school
teacher (appendicis 18-27, 33, 36 and 45-47).
My work in Russia started in
Murmansk in the summer of 1986 as an interpreter. Later on I got assignments
from Swedish enterprises and authorities. I landed up as an undertaking
consultant in north-western Russia. My employers were at first Swedish and then
Russian enterprises (appendicis 28-33). Mostly I was stationed in Petrozavodsk,
where I also lived. My work in Russia was independent and target-oriented
(appendicis 43 and 44).
Since 1995 I have been studying
the development in the Republic of Karelia. In particular I have studied
the structure of political power in Karelia.
Other qualifications in short:
- Working in EU-TACIS projects as consultant
- International development work at the school; a) planning and executing
school camps in Sweden, Norway and Russia, b) personal development of Swedish
school personnel in Russia
- Experience in conducting negotiations in authorities and enterprises
- Conducting research, for example investigations about demand in
air-travelling
- Experience in international trade from Finland, Russia and the Baltic
states
- Guide and interpreter with the Russian and Finnish languages
- PC-practice; for example as interactive web-master in 4 languages
