Introduction
A rainy night. A hotel in Paris. Chloths are scattered around. A young couple in bed. Giggling and harmony. Suddenly the door opens and a maskes man enters with a knife in his hands. The couple in the bed shrinks back in horror. Happiness is turned into blood and disaster. Silence, darkness. GameplayThis is not a one-way game. You can do things in differet order. Everything depends on which persons you meet and what you speak to them about. Often there are at least two ways to solve a problem. But there are things you must do to get a correct solution of the case. You can save as often as you want. Since the dialogs are vital it is a good habit to save fefore each conversation. This way you can redo a conversation if ends suddenly or if you would like to try another path.
It is also important to read all documents thouroughly. They are kept in the notebook in inventory. Rightclick to get to the inventory. Click at the notebook and you get a menu. The other object in inventory is the map of Paris. Whenever you you talk to a person and he mentions a new address this location is available at the map. Click at it and you'll be taken there. You can also reach the map by exiting to the street. All items you pick up or are given throughout the game are placed between the arrows in inwentory. Only a few are shown at the same time. Cycle through them all by clicking at the arrows. Alternative waysThere are principally two different beginnings to the game. The essential differene is the way you reach the second floor of the hotel and how you get into two locked rooms. These two beginnings are described in Part 1a and part 1b. |
