My MC male
An OB female
Male and female
Labeotropheus fulleborni
Was the first species to be placed in the Labeotropheus genus, it has alot incommon with the other species in this genus L. terawavase.

Labeotropheus fulleborni is found aroun the lake. The males are usually blue but this varies a bit from location to location.
Polymorphism exist in both males and females. The normal female are usually gray ar brown and OB females has alot of small blotches on an orange or white body.
The OB males of this species are very attractive and in addition with their underslung mouth and bulgy snout makes these males one of my absolute favorites from lake malawi.

In the lake
This species occupate the upper 5 meters. This species live in the turbulent shores where the underslung mouth enables it to stay close to the substrate while feeding. This enables L. fulleborni to live and feed in the turbulent waters where other speices would be whiped away.

In aquarium
This is a large mbuna, one of the largest (15-18cm) and therefore they need a large aquarium. I would recommend atleast 375 liter (100 gallon) My male is the dominant fish in my large aquarium and he can bevery agressive against his females but he doesent hurt them.
