"Legenden om Ljusets Rike" is the final part in the series trilogy, and you have to read "Sagan om Isfolket" and "Häxmästaren" before it, or it will make hardly any sense at all. Part 1 starts where part 15 of "Häxmästaren" left off, and I think I can say without giving away too much that Isfolket will play a big role in the future.

This is the story about a strange and beautiful world, The Realm of Light, which has no real sun, but is instead lit up artificially by the Holy Sun (as known from "Häxmästaren"). The realm is purer and kinder than life on Earth, but it is not perfect. There is no lack of adventures. Outside the realm there is darkness. The further away from the realm, the darker it is. To the inhabitants the greater part of the darkness is unknown, except for some dangerous creatures that live close to the realm and the tormented screams that can be heard from the Black Mountains. Nothing more is known about the screams. Even parts of the realm itself are unknown to most of the inhabitants. Some parts are forbidden and surrounded by mystery.

However, a group of young people, some of the main characters in the series, seem to break these rules all the time. And their adventures are unbelievable.
