For those of you who are interested in 3D starmaps, eighter you are a SF fan or want to create a interstellar game
or mayby interested in future exploration of nearby stars, this is a little program that generate a VRML file
so you can explore it from your favorite browser. You can use it to plot trade routes or colonization routes, se
the samples below. Star3 is a small Windows utility which will read in the Version 3 Gliese data, accept user input for various filter criteria and outputs a VRML file with the results. It will also allow you to set the origin to something other than the sun. It can display lines between stars, based on different criterias. |

| Instructions: 1. start the Star3 program. A dialog box will appear. ![]() 2. Specify the path to the Gliese3 file A new box will appear ![]() 3. Select parameters and Press OK. (If you keep the "include HTML output" a HTML file with stardata will also be created) You will be prompted for output file name ![]() 4. Specify output file name.
