Mando Diao won a Grammy for best song of the year 2008
The "Never seen the light of the day" album was written and recorded
during a Christmasbrake in 2007 in Borlänge and Stockholm.
Rapidly produced by Björn Olsson (producer for the British band Oasis etc).
The album is inspired from their lives and with tunes like a tribute to
their beautiful Dalarna.

Under 2007 har Mando Diao bl.a. spelat på Live Earth-galan, Late Night
with Conan O’Brien i New York Coachellafestivalen i Los Angeles, för 90.000
"die hard fans" på Europas största festival Rock Am Ring, gjort en utsåld
Englandsturné, en utsåld coast-to-coast turné i USA, tagit med sig de
brittiska stjärnorna Razorlight och Dirty Pretty Things som support i
Tyskland och tillsammans med bara ett fåtal andra internationella artister
som Nine Inch Nails, New York Dolls och Brett Andersson, gjort ett bejublat
framträdande på Beijing Pop Festival i Kina.
Björn Dixgård har varit ute och turnerat på egen hand...även framträdanden
med sin syster Linnea som har ett eget band.
Nya albumet släpptes den 24 oktober 2007 i Europa och i Japan.
Den första singeln från skivan heter "If I don't live today then I might
be here tomorrow" som kom ut den 24 september 2007.
Den andra singeln är titelspåret "Never Seen The Light Of Day" och en
tredje singel från albumet blev "Train Of Fire".
