In the year 21XX, the galaxy was once again at peace from the battles of the Reploid Wars. Sometime during this period many spacecrafts and ships were sent out from Earth to establish colonies around the moon. But a few of these spaceships came astray from their path and finally reached a new world far, far away.
The huge colonial spaceship Aurora was right in the middle of the path of a closing in meteor swarm, when the ships thrusters started to have some serious problem. The ships crew soon realized that they would never escape the unavoidable meteors.
But then the Reploid scientist Dr. Cell came up with one last but very risky solution to their catastrophic problem. The Aurora had actually a Warp Speed Translocation System installed, the only problem was that it was far from working properly and they could never know where exactly it would take them.
Not having much choice, captain Signamo ordered his crew to activate this WST-system and to hope for the best. The Auroras WST-thrusters burst aflame as she escaped from the meteors, flying pass the moon and disappearing into the galaxy void.
Many light years away, the Aurora crash landed on a planet quite similar to Earth. Most passengers and crewmembers survived the crash but the Aurora got damaged beyond repair. Their contact had been cut off totally from the rest of man and Reploid kind, but still they fought on to create a civilisation of their own. This planet they landed on was named Era, but the people and Reploids living here would always keep their dream that one day they would find their way back home.
In the year 23XX the new colonies on Era were at its peek when suddenly an unknown evil force started to appear. Dr. Cell was then ordered on the behalf of all the Reploids and humans on Era, to activate his latest creation, his newest Maverick Hunter named Lysekoid, to deal with this problem.
The future of the planet Era was now entrusted to Megaman, (a Megaman X clone created by doctor Cell,) Lysekoid and a few other Maverick Hunters. Can they save the world from whatever evil force is trying to take over?
