Corner of our beloved library where we prepare for the next adventure. In here is no TV, no video, to DVD, no radio, no telephone, no computer. Just a lot of old, very old and new books. On the top shelves in the middle is part of Helena's Bible collection in different languages. The black burnt mark In the ceiling beam is probably 300 years old.

Life is a party. Here we celebrate the joint birthday of Helena and eldest grandchild Emily. When Emily was 6, Helena was 60. And as the clever little girl said---zero is nothing-- claiming they were the same age, Helena protested - Not, really, you are a child! Upon which Emily brightly responded: Oh, but Mamma always says you are very childish.! We hope to remain childish enough always, to enjoy and endure life --also when life is not a party. |

Our granddaughters Emily and Ida, who are keeping us young at heart. In Swedish dress and showing certificate from slalom school. Butterfly skiing!! With them we go looking for Trolls in the woods, feed the ducks in the ponds and put flowers at graves of loved ones, recently or long gone. They listen to our stories from our travels and we might say with Katharine Hepburn in "The African Queen": "We will never lack of stories to tell our grandchildren". |
