1.From Messiah of confusion that you released
over a year ago to now, what has been happening?
Not much, all the time has been taking up to get
out of the jokelabel we were on. We are out of the contract now but it
is still an ocean of details considering the rights.
2.According to some info, you are coming out with
a CDsingle, when is that one coming out?
It was planned to be released before the new year
but it got changed, instead we are fully concentrating on material to a
new fulllength album.
3.The last album Messiah of confusion received
mixed reviews all over if you compare to your previous records, opinions
about that?
No it is difficult to comment, everyone has different
opinions about all the albums, I think Messiah..stands on his own feet
even though it was loads of struggle with it, with a recordcompany that
blackmailed, taperecorders that didnt work...
4.What sort of recordlabels are you aiming at
with the release of your fifth album?
I cannot comment on that cause nothing is finalized
yet.
5.You Dan is working with a soloproject, if you
compare it to Count Raven, what is the difference?
It is actually quite different, more faster rock.
We have succeded to get an own style I would say, we have recorded one
track that will show up on two compilationalbums now during this spring,
to follow up on that we will go into to record 4 more tracks that will
end up on a demotape that we will try to get a recordingdeal with, we are
optimistic.
6.It was a long time ago you played live, is it
any shows on the way?
No, not this spring anyway.
7.Count Raven have since the first album given
inspiration to younger heavier bands, what is the secret behind your sound?
Oh!!! I dont know, all I know is that we grew
up in the seventees and I reckon the inspiration is from there.
8.You have two recordlabels behind you, what is
your wishes for the third label?
That the next album will be released in Jokkmokk(north
of sweden-ed)ha!ha!. It is actually to get a better distribution than we
have received so far, our former label was blackmailed at all distributers
so it can only get better.
9. You received a small breakthrough with a the
album High on infinity both in Europe and the U.S with very good reviews,
Do you think that Messiah of confusion gained even more interest for the
band?
Yes, definitely. At least in the States where
Messiah of confusion was on top on a lot of radioplaylists, so I am very
satisfied with that part.
10.A lot of Count Raven fans reckon the album
Destruction of the void(rel.1992-ed) as the bands finest moment, can you
repeat the same success that album received with your next album?
Destruction..has always been been my favourite
too actually, and I hope this one will be equal as good, it is too early
to say anything sure about the new material. The only sure thing this time
is that this album will definitely break down the walls.
11.Plans for 1997?
For Count Raven we hope that a new CD will be
out(I want the vinyl back!!!) in may. We are running at the moment between
the studio and the rehearsal place with new material. The albumcover etc.
is soon finnished, so we are on our way sort of speak.
