These buns are made first on the 13th november,
the day of the queen of light, Saint Lucia. A maiden in white night gown comes with light
on her hair and a tray filled with Lussekatter and warm koffee singing the song
"Sankta Lucia". Even in the office we start the day with the celebration.
To make the buns you take your best saffron bread recipe and shape the bread like in the
picture. Use raisins to top the curl of the figure of 8, rather the symbol of eternity. |
