The Club
Aros
DX Club (ADXC) was formed in February 1985 by some DX enthusiasts in Västerås.
It was originally a local club for the Västerås area, but later it was increased
to cover the Västerås - Uppsala area. Today the club stands at 20 members and
about ⅓ of the members are living outside of this area.
Club Bulletin

times a year a members bulletin called "DX-Stunden" (DX-S) in Swedish is
published - printed with an average of more than 20 pages. One of the features
of this bulletin is "Tipsspalten" where you will find loggings by club members,
telling which stations have been heard on the various bands in the recent
months. Other sections are "Värt att Veta", where you can find news about
broadcast stations, and "QSL-Cupen", where club members report about their
latest verifications. Articles about DXing in general and about radio stations
are also included.
Listening QTH
As
many of the club members live in urban areas with lots of electrical noice, the
club has a listening QTH, thanks to one of the club members, about 60 km north
of Västerås. In this place many nice loggings have been made, both on shortwave
as well as mediumwave.
How to become a Member
If
you want to join the ADXC - and you are most welcome - you can simply send your
membership fee, at present SEK 80:- (for year 2007 within Sweden) to Swedish Bank Handelsbanken, clearing No 6531 account 160 469 988 (owner Rolf Berglund).
