Notes
In the entrance to the church in Västeråker, there have been a large wooden piece with paintings of Johannes, his wife
and all the children. The wooden piece was originally placed more centrally in the church, but was moved when they
put in a new window. The wooden piece was hanging in the entrance in mid 1800, but is supposed to have disappeared
during the restoration in 1913-1916. Maybe it was no longer possible to see what was on the wooden piece.
During my visit in summer 1998, I asked for it, but neither the church attendant nor the older people in the parish
new where it was. Nor had they heard anything about it.
Is buried in the center walkway in the church. Under the protecting layer of masonite and a carpet, I found the tombstonee
almost close to the alter. Not even the church attendant knew about the tombstone before.
The inscription, in old Swedish language, on the stone is::
THENNÄ STEN ÄR GIFVEN (This stone is given)
AF HR GABRIEL ACHRLIO SINA FÖRÄLDRAR TIL (from Mr Gabriel Achrilio to his parents as)
YTERSTA TJÄNST SOM AVTEK (last favor as written)
NADE ÄHRO PÅ OFVAN SKREFNE TAFLA. (on above written notes)
The year 1671 is engraved in the middle of the stone
On the stone there are two more fields with engravings, which seems to be expressions from the bible.
