***About Us***
My name is Carina and I live in Savedalen close to Gothenburg. I have been in dogs since early childhood when we had Yorkshire Terrier, Smooth Dachshund, Maltese/Shih Tzu cross. I came in contact with the Shih Tzu by accident. One of my friends had 2 dogs, which she had to rehome because her little daughter was allergic to the coats. “Cliff” (Håkåsens Cliff) came into our lives. A big solid black boy with a super temperament. He was a joy to live with and we were said to loose him at 10 years of age to Prostrate Cancer. By another accident I found my first bitch “Filippa” SUCH NUCH Filippa. The people who originally bought her couldn’t keep her any longer, so she came to us at 4 months of age. She was so adorable. She charmed everyone easily. She was the Shih Tzu that started my show career. Sadly, Filippa passed away in June 2005, aged nearly 15 years. She had never been sick for a day of her life. We miss her terribly. Since the beginning we have only bred 1 or 2 litters a year. A few of our puppies have moved to other countries including Norway, England and Romania and have been shown with great success. A lot of the people who have bought our puppies have become friends. As often as possible, we like to have a get together with our puppy buyers. It is lovely to see our puppies as they grow up and become adults. We try to give our puppy buyers as much help as we can through the entire lifetime of our puppies. We are always receiving emails and photos of our babies, which is very much appreciated. Visits are always good fun. To the people who have a Zansaw puppy we say “thank you for taking such good care of our babies” 2004 was the year we imported our first dog, Kucheng Express Delivery “Amadeus”. Whilst visiting Crufts in 1999 I found the dog of my dreams. Weatsom Dye Laughing At Frynwood “Spencer”. A gorgeous grey and white boy, who later become second most winning Shih Tzu in England for 2000 and 2001 before he retired from the spotlight. He was not used at stud very often, which I feel is a great loss to the world of Shih Tzu. Amadeus is Grandson to Spencers litter brother “Fletcher” Weatsom Dressed To Impress At Ashwenel. Amadeus has only been shown a little but with great success. He won the title “Puppy Of The Year” having only been shown for a month. He is a very good stud dog and progeny of his first and second litter are now a year old. They have won over 10 Challenge Certificates in 4 different countries. So we are looking forward to his future achievements in the show ring and at stud. We show our dogs as often as we can, allowing for the distances to get to some shows. 2006 will be the year that we start a new chapter in our breeding. So keep watching our website and see what we are up to!! Today, my dogs are a mixture of Swedish, English and American bloodlines and I hope I will get the “type” I’m looking for. My ambition is to breed Shih Tzu that are as close to the Breed Standard as possible. We want them to be happy, confident and healthy dogs with lots of the attitude associated with Shih Tzu who will give lots of joy and happiness to the people who own them. All we ask in return is for them to have a long happy life.
