Oh, Silk garden

Noro's Silk Garden is one of the mythical yarns in blogland, and on my trip to London I saw it live for the first time. I bought two balls (skeins?) and showed them casually to my London friend E. She loved them at first sight, so I cast on for a birthday scarf for her on my way home again. Simple "patentstickning" (Brioche stitch?) on 5 mm bamboo needles. I don't know if I had a revolutionary idea or if this is common practice among more seasoned Noro knitters, but I realised that I would get the nicest distribution of colours if I knit one skein from the outside, and then continued from the middle of the next one. Like that, the scarf starts and ends with a bluish turqoise and has a wide block of reddish purple colours in the middle.
The scarf is a little bit too short for my liking, but I crocheted a flower pin to keep it together without a knot. Pas mal, eh?
