Olympic knitting!

I'll participate in the Knitting Olympics, on the Luxemburgish team. So far it's a small team, just Eva and me. I haven't decided which project to participate with, but it will be a jacket or a sweater. I have yarn for three different sweaters, I just need to decide if it will be a blue cotton jumper from Phildar, or a green light-weight ribbon, or a very complicated thing in thin alpaca. If I choose the alpaca, well, then I'll either need to set my goals lower (front and back?) or take two weeks off from the office for TV-watching and knitting.

Oh my, you're back with a vengeance! All sorts of knitted things, varied and nice.
And hooray for finding another knitter in Luxembourg! I'll investigate further when I get home.
Olympics, yeah... I was pondering that, too. I signed up but haven't decided what to knit. One possibility is the Lily of the Valley scarf - I just stumbled on the pattern at home. Seven different charts, more than 90,000 stitches. Go me! (and good luck) http://www.knittinguniverse.com/xrx/knitters/GalleryDetail.php?IssueNum=75&ID=384
Oh, one innocent question: you wouldn't have the time and energy to create a Team Belgium button? That was also my problem: which country should we represent? Well, since there are so many Finnish knitting blogs at the moment and plenty of participants, Belgium would be a more exotic choice.

90000 stitches... Hmm, this reminds me of a certain cross stitch thing...

Hello Jorun,
Maybe we should make a general european team button and set up a european team blog. We could make general (daily) updates on our projects.
I've signed up too, but still don't know what to knit. I am thinking of the Cherry Blossom shawl from the Interweave magazine. I've got some gorgeous cobweb yarn in a light periwinkle color...
cheers Eva
