OK, I've been blogging for a long time, in Swedish [
Life de Luxe] and on other topics than knitting. I've been toying with the idea to set up a blog for my knitting, and voilà, here it is. I chose to keep it in English, simply because I haven't found any Swedish-speaking knitters on the net.
A short presentation might be in order. I am Swedish but living in Luxemburg since three years. I work as graphic designer in the EU administration, mostly with printed publications. I am married and have two children, both of them boys, 5 and 8 years old. I have been knitting since I was a child, but I've had some long breaks from the knitting pins. My other love is embroidery of all kinds, mostly self-designed.
In this blog I hope to show some of the things I have done earlier, and the progress of the ongoing projects. It might even push me into finishing some of the numerous works in progress I have lying around at home. I will use this to keep track of my first ever knit-along as well -
The Phildar Onde. I have ordered
the clorophyll shade, and I think I will use
the free pattern from Phildar's website.
I ordered the yarn from
a Belgian yarnshop, it might be worth checking out. They sell the 100g balls for 6,40 EUR, and the client only pays half of the actual postage fees. I don't know if extra taxes are added for US clients, but it might be an interesting option.
According to
Forex 6,40 EUR equals 7,70 USD.
I might add a commenting system later, now I need to return to my book-covers. If you want to contact me, please do so! boklov curlything internet dot lu should do the trick.
