Alive and knitting

The French Sailor Barkarole Babyjumper is finished. And, I didn't remember to snap a photo until I'd made the parcel. The baby was sleeping when I gave it to our quiet neighbour, I hope I will see it on the little man one of these days.

Some time ago I posted a drawing, trying to show what my blue scrap yarn shawl looks like. Here is some photographic evidence:

The watery blue/green wool is the barkarole that the boys and I painted with Kool-Aid in September:

Speaking of Kool-Aid, I have dyed two more skeins of Colinette wool, not as orange as the "krasse" but still matching. I am knitting a Christmas gift for a close friend who might read this blog at times, so I will not post a picture yet. (Just a re-run of the gorgeous (if I may say so myself) Krasse colours.)

Martina's Bastel- und Hobbykiste runs an Advent calender competition, with a new question every day. I knew today's answer, but I had to check the word drittletzten. It means number three from the end. In the word Schweden, d is the drittletzten letter. This is useful information, believe me.
