Back from Berlin
I have spent four days on a design conference in Berlin, and my head is as packed with ideas as my bags are overflowing with books and magazines. I just wish there was some extra time, somewhere... I brought some knitting with me, a sweater for one of all "my" babies. The yarn is a silk/cotton chenille from Noro, bought in a fit of eBay craze. The colours are too sharp for my liking, and I have realized that I hate knitting with chenille. Luckily it's a small size, so I'll try to finish it as quickly as possible.
(One Berliner idea: graffiti embroidery)
When I came home last night, my third secret Nordic friend package was waiting for me. It contained a pair of mittens from Liisa, made to match the scarf I did with the yarn from my first secret friend, Fru Schwartz. Lovely. liisa also added some very nice-looking patterns for babyclothes. Hundreds (at least it feels like that...) of little voices will scream THANK YOU... I am late with my own package nr 3, and I have been granted a few days extra time from our fearless leader Karine. So, if you are waiting and waiting for your package, it might be from me. It will come, soon.
