A new word!
The Swedish knitting association Sticka! had a competition to find a Swedish expression for "knit-along". I sent in a proposal, and won!
Unfortunately I will not get to use my new word so much, since I have decided to write my knitting blog in English. But I hope to see it used by others!Det vinnande ordet är parallellstickning, inskickat av Jorun Boklöv.
Hennes motivering till ordet var: "precis som i parallellslalom startar man samtidigt och ska ta sig igenom samma svängar och svårigheter på ungefär lika lång tid".

Congratulations. It is a very good word "paralellstickning" and it really describe what it is. I will use it because my blog is written in swedish :-)

Congrats from me as well! What did you win? I hope it was some gorgeous yarn. Or was it just fame and glory? -And while you are at it, why not create a French word for it as well? :-)
