Our boys need sox

The American Red Cross commemorates the 6th June 1944 with ...a knitting kit! A vintage pattern for socks, needles, wool in military olive green, everything needed to knit for the troops. I suppose the troops are wearing something of microfibers made in Taiwan these days... Theresa in Norway has links to related stories, including a photo of the contents of the tin box. I would love a box, but with postage, packaging and taxes, it might be a bit too expensive.
