A million flimsy plastic bags...

...are currently living peaceful non-productive lives in a crammed cupboard in our kitchen. No more so! They will be cut into strips and crocheted into a big sturdy useful shopping tote. Like "Gotta make ... something" just did (scroll to 28/5). I'll see if I can recruit my husband to the stripcutting. I wonder if it is easier to knit plastic than to crochet it?

Gotta make ... something has a pattern for crocheted sandals, I wonder if it would be a good idea to use stripped plastic bags for the soles?
