Happy knitting

The Danish knitter who writes 123strik.dk links to a Norwegian yarn store called Happy Knitting. One of the basic ideas behind Happy knitting is that happy thoughts and wishes are merged into the fabric you knit for a person, and that the love and care put into the work will follow it to its recipient. It is a lovely thought (even though I don't really believe in it). Happy Knitting has a series of sweaters (lykkegenser)for children, with symbols for good wishes. I would like to borrow the idea for the knitting I will do for the niece or nephew to come, but I will draw other symbols.
