Kaldor
[Bjornsson Manor] [Gentes] [Tashal] [Other]
The feudal kingdom Kaldor controls most of the region with the same name which is the watershed of River Kald, lying generally between the Sorkin and the Felsha mountains. The kingdom is ruled by King Caldeth from the royal castle in Tashal. While having faced a minimum of external threats Kaldor has a history of internal strife, notably the Kaldoric Civil War (362-377 TR) and Baronial Revolt (599-603 TR). Both conflicts were the results of Kings drawing power on the expense of the barons.

Bjornsson Household
The Household of Bjornsson fief is comprised of all hirelings and staff members that are needed to maintain the safety and the comfort of this rustic border landholding. Everything from maids to knights in shining armor are needed in order to ensure a well rounded community. The focal point of the area is the Mailed Fist tavern where many gather after a long days work to talk about the days events. Even the lord of the land is spotted there from time to time.

Order of the Checkered Shield
The Order of the Checkered Shield is a fighting order sponsored by the Laranian clerical Order of the Hyvrik. The Checkered Shield is dedicated to the service of the Church and the protection of Laranian and Peonian temples and worshippers.
The Shield is known for its rigorous military and religious discipline and for its members' willingness to pay the ultimate price in the service of their goddess. The Shield is also the fighting arm of the Ethelanca (Laranian Inquisition) and is often called upon to enforce their commands with force of arms. The Shield is a well-known and respected organisation by the general public due to their oaths to protect the weak from the forces of the Dark Trinity.

The Twin Acorn House of Healing
The Twin Acorn House of Healing is the only branch of the Society of Physicians that is still active in Tashal, Kaldor. Hence, they provide service for all the inhabitants of the city, and often travel out to Trobridge and other distant parts of the kingdom to assist in those places lacking sufficient medical care. All ailments are treated, and tended to, with outmost care, and thanks to the donation collection efforts of Mistress Elsabeth, treatment is affordable to even those who cannot afford it.
Contact
If you are interested in playing with the Twin Acorns, please create your character specifically for it. Send an e-mail to twinacorn@yahoo.com, preferably before you create him/her, describing the type of character you have in mind, to give the best chance to make a character fitting the roles needed at the Twin Acorn House of Healing. If you already have a character and you would like to find a role within the Twin Acorns in game, find and speak with Elsabeth, who can usually be found around town between 7pm and 1am EST, or else e-mail to schedule a meeting time.
