The Filthy Six This funky sextet featuring Nick Etwell (Jill Scott, Ed Harcourt) and Mark Brown (Natalie Williams, JTQ, Basment Jaxx). The band have been entertaining crouds in London, Stockholm, Visby, Chamonix for 5 years now! Denna londonbaserade sextett startades år 2000 Av svenska gitarristen Jerry Haglund och trumpetaren Nick Etwell då dessa två studerade musik tillsammans på trinity college of music. Bandets repertoar består av Funk jazz orginallåtar blandat med klassiker från artister som Lou Donaldson, Grant Green, Freddie Hubbard, Herbie Hancock. Bandets trumpetare Nick Etwell är en av londons mest anlitade musiker och har nyligen turnerat europa med akter som Ed Harcourt, The Orchestra (North sea Jazzfestival) och The Miller Band. Marc Brown saxofon, är fast medlem i Basment Jaxx och ska turnera som support till Robbie Williams 2006. Bandets Gitarrist Jerry Haglund är flitigt anlitad i europa med diverse akter. The filthy six har varit husband på soho klubben tatty bugle i london och spelat flitigt på englands funkscen med ett bejublat gig på camdens jazzcafe
