Kvarnangen Scoutcottage
Our scoutcottage Kvarnangen is an old house. We in fact do not know how old it is but history experts have told us that the oldest parts of the house is more than 250 years old. You can find a description (not translated to english yet!) in this excerpt from the book "Vendelso - Sateriet som blev villasamhalle" written 1995 by Henry Hall.
Vendelso Scoutgroup managed to move into Kvarnangen in 1983 and have since then put a very hard effort in reshaping it to fit our scout activities. Below is a photo showing Kvarnangen from south-west a nice summer day.

Now it has become a very good and spacious scoutcottage which regularly houses 5 scouttroops.
- two miniorscout (cubs plus brownies) packs, Finkarna and Gaddarna.
- one juniorscouttroop Vilddjuren
- one patrolscouttroop Rovfaglarna
- our roverteam Gold Pig.
Kvarnangen is located at the outskirts of Vendelso and there is only wilderness between it and the border of the latest Swedish National Park, the Tyresta Nationalpark. The Tyresta Nationalpark was established as late as 1994 for preservation of the wildlife and the unique old forest areas "Untouched by man".
