The name of Iskender is known from the songs, sung by the nomads for thousands of years. Even now a small group of people cling to hope on the border between Atlas and Sahara. They remain independent and continue to serve their golden armor clad Lord. 

My name is Maarten Christoph Reder. I am living on the bay of Järna (Jaerna), the heart of the Baltic Sea. Ships leave and return from the docks in Södertälje on their way to Mälaren Lake, Västerås and Stockholm. As they pass by, I sit and watch them from my window. The Vidar Clinic is in my Ytterjärna neighborhood, as well as churches and a house of culture. On the shore, open to the winds from the north, our beloved JBC, the local yachting club. 

You see the Örjanschool and also the Nibbleschool at Solvik, as well as Skillebyholm with the Nordic Research ring and several biodynamic farms. Here Saltå bakes the bread and Abbi Asmussen had his studio. Don't forget to visit the Rudolf Steiner College with the shop of "Robygge" and the medical plant Weleda. 

I work as a medical doctor, a private general practitioner with 25 years of experience and a special interest in natural ways of healing. I work at Jaerna Terapeuticum in Jaerna and at Sunnivamottagningen in Gothenburg.

In the Netherlands I work as a medical director in an international organization for home care, mostly for elderly, but also for children, and especially children with developmental problems. There you will also find a college for medical aids as nurses, therapists and practice-aids. 

In my spare time I have the pleasure to manage a famous sea food restaurant on the Atlantic coast of Algarve in Portugal. Together with my companion Patricio I own "O Sitio do Rio ... Lda" (page in Dutch). There you also find "Casa Fajara" where you can stay as a private person or a little group, or maybe as a guest during one of the "Cure- and Cultural weeks". You'll have a marvelous time visiting the "Natural Park Costa Vicentina", far away from the headaches of mass tourism. 

Together with my cam padre Renée, I work with a project ASC; or Anti-Stress-Clinic, which is based in the neighborhood of Lagos in Portugal, where a more naturally oriented medicine will be practiced. 

My free time is spent writing a book about the therapeutic way of life. Like a Vademecum, that arouse out of my work in Scandinavia the last 10 years, I hope that my efforts represent Lights on the Path, on the road of practiced anthroposophical knowledge.
