AMarquee v.49.8 for Amiga (1999-05-16)

AMarquee v.49 is a mechanism, which until now only have been available for Amiga. With it Amiga programs, Java-applets/applications and ARexx scripts on multiple computers may easily communicate data to each other in a many-to-many, "broadcast" fashion. It consists of two parts, an inetd daemon for the server computer to run, and a java-package for client computers to run. AMarquee has been made as general as possible, and it is our hope that a variety of uses will be found for it.

The development of AMarquee has since the end of 1998 been taken over by Håkan Parting

AMarquee was originally made by Jeremy Friesner.

Programs that use amarquee.library:

AmiComSys The most used AMarquee-program. Keep track of your Amiga buddies. Facilities like public and private Chat and file transfer. You may also send text messages that pops up on the recipient's screen.

QAmiTrack, Netris, QSendFile by Jeremy Friesner.

The official AMarquee-server qamitrack.tibb.at is closed. The new official AMarquee-server is hostile.cx
