PORTRAIT OF A FRIEND

I can't give solutions to all
of life's problems, doubts, or fears.
But I can listen to you,
and together we will search for answer.

I can't change your past
with all its heartache and pain,
or the future with its untold stories.
But I can be there now
when you need me to care.

I can't keep your feet
from stumbling.
I can only offer my hand
that you may grasp it and not fall.

Your joys, triumphs, successes,
and happiness are not mine.
Yet, I can share in your laughter.

Your decisions in life ar not
mine to make, nor to judge.
I can only support you,
encourage you,
and help you when you ask.

I can't prevent you from falling
away from frindship,
from your values, from me.
I can only pray for you,
talk to you and wait for you.

I can't give you boundaries,
which I have determined for you.
But I can give you the room to change,
room to grow, room to be yourself.

I can't keep your heart
from breaking or hurting.
But I can cry with you
and help you pick up the pieces
and put them back in place.

I can't tell you who you are.
I can only love you and be your friend.

A SPECIAL KIND OF FRIEND

Every once in awhile we tink we've reached our end
and then out of nowhere we find a special frind.
Someone who will listen and even dry a tear
someone who is caring and helps chase away our fear.
Someone who tinks we're special and will take the time
to care and make us very sure that they will
always be there.
A special kind of friendship that can bring two folks
together and form a kind of closness that can last
until forever.
We all need someone out there that we can turn to now
and then and
I thank God that I've found you my very special friend.

Det finaste av allt...

Det finaste av allt är kärleken
att älska, bry sig om, minnas och förlåta.
Livet är fullt av under och mirakel
och den största av dom kommer alltid förbli en gåta...
...en känsla som inte går att beskriva med ord
ändå är den det viktigaste på denna jord
När jag är ensam och behöver en vän,
då finns du alltid där
Därför vill jag att du ska veta
att jag dig närmast i hjärtat jag bär
Det finaste av allt är kärleken,
känslan ingen människa kan förklara
men en sak är jag säker på
det är något fint vi alla måste bevara.
