South of the port of Trelleborg stands Sweden´s first lightcaisson, built 1930. This caisson was first in line to replace more than 20 lightship stations in Sweden. The time-typical construction in granite blocks and cast iron makes Trelleborg the most beutiful of the Swedish caissons.
