Hiding hedgehog

Hedgehogs are great eaters, they will basically not disregard even not fresh remains..I can assure you that they are also very messy creatures while eating. If you put out some food for wilde living hedgehogs, be sure, they will compete for it, sometimes in a rather aggressive manner. Especially older hedgehogs, males, will even fight with each other over their place at "the plate". I once saw them attacking each other with quite a big deal of noise and force like two fighting bulls! I could not believe my eyes. It ended up in placing more plates for them, but still I could not eliminate all fighting. Young hedgehogs were eating together from the same plate with no problem at all. I guess they were used to each other company, since they just started to learn how to live alone. Once, really grown up hedgehog (around 2 kg in weight) tried to "spread" himself on the plate, to cover all of it, to make it impossible for other hedgehogs to reach for the food! And then, being placed in this funny way he was feeding himself from under his tummy......
