If you ever consider taking home a wilde living hedgehog, consider first that it is an animal under protection and it is not allowed to move/take home a hedgehog.
This hedgehog was so cute, and she had babies! She was living just under the entrance stair to the house. Everything would be fine....but: one day red fleas from hedgehogs invaded the home. Everyone was bitten (and they say that red hedgehog fleas are not biting humans...). It was not possible to live in this house anymore. Total panic. A special company was ordered to come and take the end of it. Hedgehog family was moved to a forest near by, their nest was removed (good that hoglets were big enough at that time). The hole under the stair was plumbed with concrete....it took a big deal of time and money to remove the flees.
