There are plenty of hedgehogs even more north of Umea.
This hedgehog we met during evening walk through the living area of Skelleftea (820 km north
of Stockholm).
He was really in a hurry. Kent was running in parallel to the hedgehog and
managed to make this photo, a photo of a running hedgehog.
You can not imagine how fast the hedgehog can actually run. Especially small hoglets.
It might be rather difficult to follow them, when they disappear in the tall grass
or some bush and become directly invisible.
