Isn't he cute?
In northern Sweden hedgehogs are born only once during the season. It usually happens in end
of June, beginning of July. They stay with their mother couple of weeks, but then, before
winter comes they have to learn to search for food alone.
Many of such young hedgehogs were coming to our feeding place. Their weight was between 300-400
grams, too little to make it through the winter, or rather wake up in the end of the hiberntation.
That is why so many of them will not make it through. The strongest/smartest survives?
One thought stroke me: if we feed them, are we going to change nature ways?
