ACINNA

First steps

My father really enjoyed a game on the Amiga called Shanghai. This was a majjong game which he played for hours... This was back in 88/89. And just for the fun of it, I decedid to create a similar game on the C64. After a few weeks I had a playable version. I even painted the graphics myself. I also remember having a lot of problems with the randomizer-routine, and it's still not too good. Anyway, my father enjoyed this game and I could use my Amiga once in a while. I also remember that the younger brother of Bacchus/FLT, Rasmus, enjoyed this game aswell.

Final touch!

Many years later I got in touch with LEO at Magna Media who worked with the German 64'er Magazine. He wanted programs to release on their monthly disk to their subscribers. And I had this game almost ready, so why not. A few days was spent on a highscore saver, and the menu. RedStar (Simon Leijnse) painted the Intro picture and the "mouse pointer" and heureka... Ready for the world... The game was released in 64'er 11/96.

How to play

Some instructions can be useful. The main ide is to remove as many "tiles" as possible. The tiles are allways removed in pairs, and only free tiles can be removed. A tile is free when there are no other tiles above and left or right. Different colours shows the "altitude" of the tile. To remove the tiles, click on the first tile (starts flashing) and then click on twin tile. Whooops... To find out how it works you can use the help-button which will show you a free pair of tiles (if available). However, if you cheat using the help-button, you will not get your score registered for the hall of fame.

The compleate game can be found at the download page.
