The Nudist on the Late Shift This is a book about the phenomenon of Silicon Valley seen from different aspects of the people there. The book start off a bit bad by making some statement of the form East coast people think the whole world is only there, but there is also a west coast as well, pretty much the sterotypic statement anyone non-american is used to hear. However, the book is quite ok and give an intresting insight into what (might?) be true about how it was living and working in the valley.

Each chapter of the book is dedicated to one kind of people that you will find in Silicon Valley, more specifically:

  • The Newcomers
  • The IPO
  • The Entrepreneur
  • The Programmers
  • The Salespeople
  • The Futurist
  • The Dropout
Its quite an interesting book, and being a programmer its always fun to read about the people within this field. Easy reading on the way to work.
