A satiric crime-novel, I think you can call it. I liked it, it has a rather pink cover so perhaps it will ruin your bookshelves apparence :) It was some time since I read the book and I can't be more specific about it. They made a movie out of it starring Demi Moore, havn't seen that one, though.
