Easy Textures - Grass

For this one, you need the plugin filter "Toadies 2" by Ilya Razmanov. Download it here (428 kb). This filter is free. For installation instructions, go to the Filters Installation page.

Start with a new image, Size 300x300.
Background Color: White, 16 Million Colors.

Step 1:
Choose Image - Special Filters - Add Noise.
Choose Random - 100 % Noise.
Do the same procedure one more time.

Step 2:
Choose Colors - Greyscale.
Then Colors - Increase Color Depth - 16 Million colors.

Step 3:
Image - Edge Filters - Edge Enhance More.

Step 4:
Choose Image - Deformations - Motion Blur.
Set Direction = 180, Intensity = 40.

Step 5:
Image - Plug-in Filters - Toadies - Metalworks.
Use the default settings.

Step 6:
Image - Special Filters - Emboss.

Step 7:
Colors - Adjust - Brightness/Contrast.
Set Brightness = -30, Contrast = 0.

Step 8:
Choose Colors - Colorize. Hue = 70, Saturation = 150.

Step 9:
Choose Image - Resample - Custom size 150x150.
