This is the current situation:
We would like to do this last record in the same studio where we recorded Headstones (the Wavestation). We still have to see with Black Mark though .... you never know with them. If everything works out we'll probably start the recording in January or February next year. It would be really nice to end all this in a good way.

Black Mark have been acting really strange lately. I believe that thay have been recieving a lot of ugly e-mails. Thanks guys ... you rule!
One more thing ... I will answer all the e-mails I get eventually. Just give me some time! And please don't ask me about tabs and lyrics and such stuff. I'm just to lazy.

Just thought I'd say a couple of things ...
We still don't know much about what will happen with the next record ... but I know it needs to be done, and that soon (since we all are under personal contracts with Black Mark) just to let us go on with playing music. I will in the near future record a couple of songs with the help of Mathias Lodmalm (Cemetary, Sundown) so perhaps then I'll know what will happen. I have no idea of how it's going to sound ...
I've received a lot of e-mails since the news of the split-up. I could not image that we made such on impact on some people. It's nice to share this deeper understanding with you ... I guess we are all pretty much the same.

9th of September ...
It's now official ... we've split up. So from now on there is no more Lake of Tears.
This feels very strange and sad ... but it's probably for the best. I (and perhaps someone else from the band) will record one more record though ... just to get out of the contract with Black Mark. Then we'll see what happens ... some of us will probably continue to play music in one way or another. I would just like to thank all of you for all the mails ... sorry, we just couldn't keep on going anymore.

Hi again, I'm really sorry for not updating but I've been very busy. Just wanted to tell that we are going to do 3 gigs in Sweden this autumn. They will be in Borås, Karlskoga and Motala. I will announce the dates later when I get them!
We're currently writing some new material so that we can record our next album soon (the last one for Black Mark). It will include some old, unreleased songs as well and perhaps even a cover. I don't know yet but it may be the last Lake of Tears album ever. We haven't decided what we're gonna do yet!

Today I received some sad news. There will be no touring what so ever for this record ...
Black Mark Production have done it again! And we still have one more record to do for them ... life really sucks!

Ok, I found another site on the net where you can buy Lake of Tears stuff (among others), its ... www.emp.de. So, hehe, the guestbook is really working ... great. I'll probably try to customize it a little bit later on, but it's okay for now.
About more soundclips. I'll probably put some more samples up soon ... just have to find somewhere to put them (this space is limited to 2 Megs).
I received a lot of pictures from Mikael (he's been doing a lot of scanning lately) so I'm working on that. We are currently very busy with interviews and stuff but I'll try to do some better updating on this site.

The booklet inlay really sucks, Black Mark fucked it up totally! How come that they don't let you do it the way you like ...

There are now a couple of pics up.. For all of you asking about updating this site ... I don't know, we're pretty busy at the moment. We got the promo-CD's and did the last changes for the booklets. So I think the real ones will be pressed any day now ...

First of all, I'm really sorry for the shitty updating. We will probably put up some photos soon. Michael has done a lot of scanning lately but he had a hard-drive crash so ...
Today I got some news from Black Mark. The record is now mastered (but we haven't heard it yet) and I hope it's okay. The release date is set to the 25th of May and the distribution will be provided by SPV.
So ... that's all for now!
8th of March ...
Today I got an unmixed CD of Forever Autumn so I decided to put out a sample of the song Hold on Tight.
It's MP3 and remember it's unmixed!

We are finally back from the studio. Now only the mixing and mastering remains! Just a couple of weeks more ...
There will be nine songs on the record:
It will probably be released in late April / early May.
I'm sorry for not answering the mails or updating the site but we have been away ...
As soon as we have something to present we will put it up here, OK!

We will start the recording of our next album, titled Forever Autumn, on the 28th of December. It will be finished in the middle of Februari and then released later in the spring.
Some of the song-titles: So fell autumn rain, Hold on tight, To blossom blue, Demon you/Lily Anne.
We will put up some sound-clips here as soon as we have them. Probably in MP3.
I'm really sorry for the lack of updates. I'm sure this will change ... eventually.
We decided to make this site a personal one, so each one of us in the band will add something to it. But we are just to lazy and now with the recording coming up ...
