Fred at the Second Conference on Fish Telemetry in Europe

Here are the abstracts of my presentations at the conference.

Using speed-sensing transmitters to model the bioenergetics of subadult lemon sharks, Negaprion brevirostris

Evaluating a method for attachment and retrieval of instrumental packages from large sharks

The conference was held in the city of La Rochelle on the French west coast. I went down to France the 6th of April so that I could join the tour the nextcoming day. The tour went through the Charente Maritime countryside and included a visit on the oyster grounds of Marennes-Oléron and the fortified village of Brouage before ending with a visit at the Royal Rope Factory of Rochefort.
During the following days the conference was held in the L´oratoire where all the oral and poster presentations were held. I had a presentation of each and here is a picture of my poster.
On Monday the 7th there was a cocktail party in the evening at the La Rochelle townhall. The following day I had my oral presentation at 14.20h. It all went fine though some of my slides were too dark so nobody could see what they showed. Here is the view of the presenter.
Anyway, relaxed and pleased I went with the other participants to the Aquarium of La Rochelle where we were invited for a conference banquet.

A wonderful meal with five dishes was served. Guess if I was full after that! But I should also mention that they had plenty of very nice tanks and very nice fish. Somewhat tired after the banquet the fun ended the next day and I returned Sweden.
