That's
some kind of combination of accents, but it was great to listen to them
although I understood nothing of what they said ;-)
Just for fun I brought some herring, and just in case
they wouldn't fancy it I also brought a bottle of Absolut Vodka which I
guessed would make it easier for them to eat the herring. Now it turned
out that they liked both the herring and the Vodka so I didn't have to
worry at all. As you can see I have proofs! Except for eating and drinking
we also went out just drinking for most of the time. I have never been
in so many pubs in such a short time before. And I have never tried so
many kinds of beer before. It was a great experience and there were several
brews that I liked. The only thing I didn't fancy was all the smoking in
the pubs.
Now
Seons and Steve have moved to Scottland and the last thing I heard was
the they gotten a little kid. I hope everything is alright with both the
little one as well as the the two big ones.
I have been in England twice before. The first time was
at senior high school together with my class mates. We went by boat and
staid in London for two nights before going back home. We didn't do much
but one thing I remember it that I tried Fish ´n Chips. I didn't
fancy it too much but it was a good meal after all.
The
second time in England was when I worked at the Swedish Board of Agriculture
in the CITES Management Authority. I went to Cambridge for two days to
visit the World Conservation Monitoring
Centre (WCMC). When I was in London I traveled with one of those special
taxis for the first time. So I did in Manchester as well but there I also
traveled with those buses with an extra level which you rarely see in Sweden.
Before I left Manchester I managed to get a picture of me and Seonaidh
with a scenic Manchester street in the background.
