Kevins father died in 1991 of cancer; Kevin was
of course very hurt, sometimes he still has to cry when he talks about him.
Kevin spend his first nine years on a 10-acre farm and next eight in a modern.day
log cabin. "I had a great childhood," sad Kevin in a interview.
"I loved school, played Little League football, rode horses and dirt
bikes, and sang into the hairbrush in front of my bedroom mirror."
The boy was happy - and he could sing. After recieving his first set of
keyboards as a high school freshman, Kevin spend his adolescence in chorus
and drama club, entering talent shows, and played keyboards in restaurants
and at weddings.
Kevin worked in Disney World-Orlando as a guide, Aladdin and Ninja turtle,
and he was going to auditions in MGM studios.
He heard about "Three guys who were singing a-Capella all the time"
so he came to check them out.
It seemed that they really could get along with each other.
So they decided to get Kevin into the group.
But their discoverer said that one member still was missing.
Kevin called his cousin Brian and so the Backstreet boys were completed.
These days, Kevin shares an apartment with Howie and his cousin Brian, and
spends his free time weight lifting, dancing,scooting hoops, playing football,
and writhing music at his keyboards. If you ask him to describe life in
the studio and he'll say, "Sing. Eat. Sing. Sing. Eat. Sing. SLEEP!"
And on the road? "A lot of fun, a lot of work, and sometimes a little
lonely. It's what I've always dreamed of!"
Kevin is known as the person who changes his haircut the most, he lost some
fans about his last haircut, straight on his face.
Kevin doesn´t`t sing a song solo because his voice is too low, but
perfect for a spoken words.
