9.00 Konepistooli 2000
MP5´s have been in use for some time now with the Finnish special forces, mainly
by the Utti Jaeger regiment. But now it has also been officially adopted as the
"machine pistol 2000" which opens the doors for wider use. Some military police
units may soon be issued with MP5´s since it is atleast during peacetime obviously
a better (and more safe) choise than assault rifles in their intended role. But
it will mainly remain a weapon for the special forces.
