This Russian-made NSV heavy machine gun is primarily used as a anti-aircraft machine gun in
Finland, both vehicle-mounted and on a tripod even though it´s powerfull 12.7 rounds easily
could penetrate the side-armour of most APC´s. Both the recoil-absorbing mount and the sight used improves the effectiveness of the ItKK considerably
over a ordinary NSV with open sights and ordinary mount.
The sight allows the gunner to keep both his eyes open and thus giving him a better
possibility to understand what is happening around him.
