The Finnish Dragunovs were bought from Germany, ex-DDR in the 90īs and are mostly
used by some special units, such as the sissi (guerilla) units, border guards, and paratroopers. It is not accurate
enough by modern standards to be used as a true sniper rifle, and it was never
designed to be used that way. In Finland, and most other armies, it serves
mainly as a squad fire support weapon that extends the range of the squad out to 600 meter. As all
Kalashnikov designs the Dragunov is very reliable.
