This field gun from Patria is the king of the Finnish field artillery with its firepower and its range. Itīs basically developed from 155 K 83, but having a longer 52 cal barrel and a auxiliary power unit (APU) which gives the ability to "shoot-and-scoot" to avoid enemy counter-battery fire. The guns has been bought to equip the readiness brigades. Obviously those making the decisions are thrusting in the firepower of the 155 K 98 since the artillery regiment in these brigades will have 18 guns compared to 36 for the infantry,- and jaegerbrigades.
