XA-series of APC:s

SISU´s (now Patrias) XA-series, or "Pasi" as it is called in Finland is the most numerous armoured vehicle in Finland, and it´s also developed to fit the finnish armys requirements, in example most os the Pasis are amphibious because of the amount of lakes and so forth in Finland. The first vehicles in the XA-180-series is now being withdrawn from service because of their age and replaced with newer ones. They have however in service with peace-keeping forces mainly in the former republic of Yugoslavia proved their usefullness in service with many countries. It is much because of these experiences the vehicle has been improved furthermore, mainly in being more heavily armoured and getting a more powerfull engine installed, the number, "180, 185" etc indicates how many kW the engine produces. Most Pasis have a mount for a 12.7 ItKK HMG on the roof. The newest Pasi´s, the XA-203 (pictured below) has a remotely controlled turret with a NSVT machinegun. The Finnish army uses Pasi´s for a multitude of tasks. They are used as an APC, ambulance vehicle, command vehicle, communcation vehicle, sensor vehicle, workshop vehicle, radar carrier, and carrier of ItO 90 Crotale SAM.
