BTR-60PB
The BTR-60PB remains in use in some numbers as an APC to transport jaeger soldiers although
some of them have been withdrawn from service. The rest of them will be withdrawn
from service soon and replaced with the XA-series. This vehicle is claimed to
be amphibious, but in the early 90īs a number of Finnish conscripts drowned when a
vehicle of this type proved to be less amphibious than expected during a training crossing of a river.
It is also quite uncomfortable, simply it´s a typical Soviet APC. Its main
advantage is the powerfull 14.5 mm machinegun that can pierce most APC´s
armour, atleast from the side and the back.
